The Review Archives is a historical record of the Roxborough Review, which served as a local newspaper for the Andorra, Roxborough, Wissahickon, East Falls and Manayunk sections of Northwest Philadelphia. It began in the late 1800's under the name of the Advance.

Donna Persico is the founder and administrator of The Review Archives Inc. You can watch the video below to see and hear her story.

There are two components to The Review Archives:

​

1. Physical ledgers containing copies of each paper published, with some being so delicate they crumble. As of now, these bound books are being housed within Roxborough Memorial Hospital as you will see in the video below

​

2. An online picture album. In addition to the bound books, Donna created an online catalog of literally thousands of preserved images on Google Photos. This process took several years to complete.

A series of Blog Posts have been created here on our website to access those online images. Each Blog Post will provide you with as much information as is available.

The scanning process of each and every single document and photo was a painstaking process, done as a labor of love by Donna Persico. By doing so, she has effectively preserved history as viewed via the Roxborough Review Newspaper. We owe her so much!
